Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching General Science at Key Stage 3 and GCSE-level Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at Key Stage 4. This is a part-time, remote teaching role, ideal for educators who are confident in using online tools to inspire students in the virtual classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, following the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare engaging, well-structured online lessons and resources.
  • Use a smart tablet and digital pen effectively for live demonstrations and annotations.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and support.
  • Maintain a professional and positive online presence.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and expectations.
  • Use MS Office tools and digital platforms to aid teaching, planning, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and GCSE level (KS4).
  • Confidence in using video conferencing tools and online teaching platforms.
  • Own a smart tablet with digital pen, and a reliable computer/laptop.
  • Access to a stable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students in an online setting.
