Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our online teaching team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels, preparing students for their GCSEs through well-structured, interactive online lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 History in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons covering key historical periods, themes, and skills.
  • Use a smart tablet and digital pen for live annotations and teaching demonstrations.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and academic support.
  • Foster critical thinking, debate, and discussion in a virtual classroom setting.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress.
  • Use Microsoft Office and other online tools to support teaching and lesson planning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching History at KS3 and GCSE level (KS4).
  • Experience using video conferencing tools for teaching.
  • Own a smart tablet with digital pen, and a reliable computer or laptop.
  • Stable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge students in an online learning .
